We have been Sharpening Blades/Scissors and Repairing Clippers/Shearers
Since 1983
We also sharpen garden equipment and knives etc. Please check with us first before bringing them in.
We are stockists of most makes of replacement blades, spare parts, clipper oil, animal shampoos, grooming products etc.
Our opening times are currently:-
We are not open Saturday or Sunday or bank holidays.
Our hours are:- Monday to Friday 9.15 am until 3.30 pm
This is due to staff shortages due to sick leave.
We are closing on Tuesday 23rd December and will return on Tuesday 6th January.
We cannot guarantee any new repairs coming in being looked at before the holidays.
We suggest if your clipper only requires a service to use it until we return in the new year please.
Rechargeable clippers are taking approximately 3 - 4 weeks.
We are experiencing high volumes of work due to Stockshop closing their repair/sharpening centre.

We can email the form if you send us a message,or a note/letter showing your details is fine.
We are currently behind with rechargeable clippers and cannot guarantee work to be carried out before the Christmas break.
ANY DISCREPANCIES WITH YOUR ORDER SHOULD BE NOTIFIED WITHIN 7 DAYS OF RECEIPT.
ONCE YOU ORDER LEAVES US, ANY DELAYS WITH YOUR DELIVERIES ARE NOT THE FAULT OF HCS SERVICES.
Due to Stockshop (Wolseley) no longer repairing clippers or sharpening blades we are experiencing higher volumes of work and can no longer give a turnaround time, one of our engineers is absent on sick leave, therefore your patience and understanding would be much appreciated.
We suggest if your clipper is only requiring a service, to use it until the new year as we cannot guarantee it being returned before the Christmas break.
Rechargeable clippers are taking approximately Three/Four weeks.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
We are looking to employ a part-time engineer for clipper repairs and blade sharpening, it would be flexible hours (15 - 20 hours per week) minimum wage. Please contact us for details.
PLEASE! PLEASE! DO NOT USE COOKING OILS INSTEAD OF CLIPPER OIL.
We are receiving a lot of blades and clippers in here which have been damaged by the customer using cooking oil instead of clipper oil, it makes the blades very sticky and they fuse together, the clipper head is hard to clean and may effect the performance of the clipper.
You can use a 3 in 1 oil if you don't have the correct clipper oil.
Do not use WD40, blade wash or the coat shine as an oil please.
IF WE RECEIVE ANY FURTHER EQUIPMENT IN THIS STATE, WE WILL REFUSE TO SHARPEN OR REPAIR AND THEY WILL BE RETURNED TO THE SENDER. THANK YOU

We specialise in sharpening clipping blades and repairing horse, cattle clipping machines and sheep shearing equipment. Over the years we have also expanded into the world of dog grooming, veterinary surgeon blade sharpening/repairs and hairdressers blade sharpening. (We are unable to source parts for some hairdressing clippers, please check first before posting).
We sharpen scissors and uniquely modify clipping blades for the carpet industry.
We also stock spare parts for most makes of clippers, trimmers and shearers.
We are unable to source parts for Laube, Huntmaster, Clipperman, Clipmaster etc.
We now sharpen knives, garden equipment (ie. lawn mower blades, garden shears, secateurs), axes and chisels etc. (Drop in and Collection only please).
